The conventional images of Africa come from Tanzania and Kenya and have fired the imagination since the earliest explorers to the modern day. East Africa, also embracing Uganda, has the richest diversity of animals in the world.

This, along with the great variety of landscapes, from jungle to desert, open savannah, rolling hills, and snow-capped mountains, has become every tourist's dream of Africa; and the East African guides are well aware of this heritage. It is here that the early travellers' imagination was first captured by the immense and glorious landscapes and the vast numbers of animals that live there.

This is where safaris began.
